Leather Wall Hanging Instructions
1 - Check you have everything in your Wall Hanging kit:
- Pre-cut and Punched Leather Pieces
- 1 x Canvas Cloth for burnishing & protecting
- 1 x Binder Clips to help you stitch
- 2 x Colours of Handmade Waxed Thread
- 1 x Keyring Loop
- 2 x Sewing Needles
- 1 x Wooden D-ring
- 1 x Leather Holding Piece

You will also need:
- Small pair of scissors
- A little pot of water
- Your quality time, ½ - 1 hours

2 - Measure the thread

3 - Thread the Needles

- A. Thread the eye of the needle with the 75cm piece of thread.
- B. Pull through 6-8cm of thread and then pierce the thread.
- C. Pierce the thread again at 1cm distance along the long piece of thread.
- D. Holding the needle tip, pull down the entire thread. This is called locking the needle.

4 - Insert Leather Piece into Loop
Take your leather holding piece and insert into the wood loop.

5 - Align Pieces
This step will be slightly harder as you are unable to secure with a binding clip, you can use the spare needle proved to help align

6 - Prepare for Stitch
Pull the thread through both holes leaving a 10 cm thread.

7 - Secure stitch
Pull thread through both holes creating a secured lock 3 times. Your thread should lead out the same side as you came in.

8 - Tie Off Thread
Tie the thread three times and cut off excess. You can now continue stitching with the threaded needle.

9 - Order pieces
It's now time to arrange your pieces, piece A, B & F must stay in place, pieces B-D can be arranged in whatever order you like!

10 - Start Stitch
Pull the thread through both holes leaving a 10 cm thread

11 - Secure stitch
Pull thread through both holes creating a secured lock 3 times. Your thread should lead out the same side as you came in.

12 - Separate Pieces
Take your thread and wrap around 3 times locking the stitch to create an even spacing between your two pieces.

13 - Secure Thread
Tie the thread twice. Cut excess

14 - Repeat Steps
Repeat steps 11-13 until you have completed all the stitching sections, Once your first 75cm length of thread starts to get to short you can swap to the next length.
